# Upcoming Airtable changes require updates to Flows by February 2024

On **February 1, 2024** , Airtable will be deprecating their [API key authentication](https://support.airtable.com/docs/airtable-api-key-deprecation-notice) method. Any Flows utilizing this older authentication method will need to be updated prior to the change on February 1st in order to continue running without interruption.

Any new Flows since August 1, 2023 will not be impacted as the step has moved to the updated authentication method

### Re-Authorizing Airtable Step

To update your authentication method, you’ll want to re-authenticate the Airtable step. **[Check out this video](https://www.loom.com/share/3735f3b4b6dc42ad90406eaf20b5b783) for detailed instructions, or follow along below for a step-by-step:**

1. Access the Draft version of the Flow by going to the top left of your Flow, and clicking on `Edit Draft`  

2. Double Click on your Airtable step to open the step settings  

3. In the step settings, click on `Choose accounts` on the top left, and select `New Airtable-Oauth`  

4. A module will pop up requesting Parabola access to Airtable. Select the Base and/or Workspaces you’d like to grant Parabola access to. Once that’s completed, click on `Grant Access`  

_If you have multiple Airtable Steps in your Flow, continue to step 5. If you only have one Airtable step, continue to Step 6_

1. You’ll want to make sure the authentication is updated across all of your Airtable steps on your Flow. Open up the remaining Airtable steps, and select the newly added authentication under the Choose accounts drop down.  

2. You can remove your previous authentication by heading to the `Choose accounts` drop down, and clicking on `Edit`  

3. Next to your old authentication, click on the trash icon to delete the account  

4. Lastly, publish those changes to the Live Flow by clicking on `Publish Flow`
