# Improve merging in dedupe step

**1. What is your feature/integration request?**

I would like to get the dedupe step improved with regard to its merging function.  
When merging, we need two checkboxes :

- Ignore blank cells
- Ignore identical values

**2. What problem would this feature/integration solve?**

**3. How do you solve/workaround this problem today?**

I always need this when cleaning contact lists ! 🤞 🙂
