# Handling currency with currency symbols

Manipulating currency with a currency symbol is a pain! It’d be great if Parabola could identify currency columns upon import and treat them as such, without needing to do any extra steps for removing symbols.

Hey @jp I think I do! Could you describe the problem that you would want this feature to solve? What issues come up with currency symbols?
