# Dates - Trying to compare

Hi @Tony_Standing - Can you try formatting the date columns to YYYY-MM-DD and then use the `Compare Dates` step? Let me know if you still encounter an error with that.

If that works, you can always reformat the dates after that to get it into your desired format. Let me know how that goes!
